Act 4 : The good mood !

One of the things that really stood out for me at The Lab was the smiles. You might think, what kind of crazy intern did you get? Instead of working, she observes who smiles and who doesn’t? It’s more like the beginning of a horror movie!

The one who doesn’t smile, he dies in the end! I am sure there is such a scenario. Anyway, I’m not going to talk about horror, so let’s get back to our smiles.

The day before my interview, I was reading an article on the net titled: “10 tips to apply before an internship interview.

“Be comfortable, smile” was all I remembered the next day. So I’m going to tell you that I was at ease, TOO at ease, and that at the end of the day, my jaw wouldn’t cooperate anymore, because of the incessant smiles.

Did I make a good impression or did I scare them to death? Yes, remember, Joker gets mean with his big smile 🙂

I’d rather go for the first option. Because yes at The Lab everyone smiles. Yes I confirm it to you it is the world of the Care Bears! It’s not true! Seriously, do you still believe in the world of care bears?

A laboratory assistant drowned by this endless day of work will not necessarily feel like smiling. And this is where understanding comes in. Of course, smiling is essential (well, not too much for wrinkles), it releases dopamine and makes you beautiful :). But the days follow one another and are not alike!

This is where we understand that happiness does not lie in the fulfilment of all our desires, but in their pursuit. So, let’s imagine a world where there are no complications, everyone smiles, everyone is happy, the weather is always nice, like in the myth of the golden age. You know that mythical time when the Gods spare all concerns and laws? I’m spoiling you: they are bored to death.

So in a workplace (like coworking 😉 ) let’s stop looking for the perfect, but the right balance.

The other day, I was in the kitchen with my boss, we were talking about what an exceptional person I am and that she had never met a person as perfect as me.

That’s not true. She asked me why I was laughing, and that’s when I found my new article subject, the one you are reading right now!

All you have to remember, reader, is this well-known but sensible sentence:

“Smile at life and life will smile at you!” 😁
